Namm 2014

Hello again brothers and sisters

Things have been moving along so quickly since the jump from ElektronUsers…

I will be at NAMM tomorrow morning/afternoon. Please let me know if there is anything you would like me to investigate, film or photograph for you. Always like to share the magic with those of you who are unable to make it to the show. All the big sites will be covering most things, But I will check this thread to come through for anyone with particular interests * )

So excited to see what the electronic music world brings tomorrow

the Elektron unfrosted box AR

Aira TR-8

and hopefully Akai MPC 1000 or /and MPC 500 replacements?

go ask clavia about the nord modular G3. bug them a little.

it’s not gonna happen but it’s good to pull their ear a little now and then.

have a good time!

Ask them about the Wave 2 or Wave 2 rack while you are at it, and tell them that the Nord Lead A1 is an abomination!

All the new eurorack stuff.

Son of a bitch ! … I have never emotionally responded to the sound of DSI… .

But the P12 module demo over at MATRIXSYNTH is melting my heart

Well done Dave… Finally an analog Poly that has that magic from the past and some interesting sparkle of the the Future

I had been dreaming up a modern analog Poly module and most likely will be buying my first DSI )

Yes, please ask Clavia about Wave 2 or G3.

P12 has digital oscillators & it does sound great.
When you go by the DSI booth ask them “What is up with the Tempest? What are their future plans with it in regards to features/updates?”
Thanks

i’m there too, i was there yesterday for media preview day and there was a lot still being setup

the prophet 12 rack looks sexy btw, did not get a chance to play with it

I’m sort of surprised DSI are demoing the P12 module with the QuNexus. When I tried the QuNexus I found it terribly finicky, with hugely varying pressure sensitivity across the keys (pads) even after doing the individual calibration procedure. I returned it almost immediately.
Something like the Mopho Keyboard would be a lot more compelling but still relatively compact way to interact with the module.

…perhaps there’s a deal between the twos or the guy playing it likes the QuNexus… go figure out… surely it would have been nicer to see it played with something different

wouldn’t mind to know what waldorf are up to, but whatever you feed back it’ll do  thx

WOW! Sub 37

Ask Korg what the hell are they smoking: http://www.jrrshop.com/namm-news/korg-ms-20-kit

Hilarious, but but for a kit (wtf?!) it would be a bit pricy. Limited? Waiting for official announcement and street price. :astonished:

holy what? and not the mini! lol
looks like all electronics are pre-soldered and it’s a 15-minute assembly job

they should sell this exclusively through IKEA.

+1
I’m very excited about what Make Noise are releasing this year. If you can get any more info, that’ll be great.

So will the Elektron booth also have a Tempest disposal bin next to the AR display? I know I have one to toss in.
