I have a feeling that it could be the most exciting one in years.

of course there’s the Elektron Frosted chained box - which may be uncovered… unfrosted there.

I also have a feeling… not based on anything I’ve seen or read. But a feeling that Akai Pro may be showing the next generation MPC 1000 and maybe MPC 500 too… with a new look, LED pads and new OS. (maybe very JJ OS)

anyone hear of anything?
or is hoping for anything in particular this year?

Roland is announcing something on the 15th, and there have been a few indicators that they may actually do something interesting this year…of course, it may just be a new Gaia with 8 D-Beams

Bitwig have also indicated that they will finally be releasing sometime this quarter, and it sounds like it might actually happen this time.

I’m hoping and expecting to see some some hardware developments for iOS music making as well. And I’m sure there will be more new analogs on display.

Every year I get slightly excited about Roland and then I remember wht they have become.

it has multicolored lights… might be a grid

but yeh id love to see korg get back into the electribes… or maybe a new yamaha sequencer like RM1X/RS7000 … another roland MC box

something like that

I hope to see a new RS-7000-esque kind of sampler/sequencer groovebox device with faders that works with DAW or stand-alone.

I’d love to see someone (and by someone I mean Korg) introduce a modern analog poly for the masses. Go for the <1000€ market rather than >2000€. Something that sounds like its own thing rather than trying to sound like everything. Take a few Volca keys with slightly extended capabilities (like more osc waveforms) and strap them in with a proper keyboard.

I’m not holding my breath, though! Korg are more likely to bring out a MiniSix or a Mini/Poly :imp:

+1 to Mini/Poly!
Hopefully OTO Machines drops the new effect processor… finally…
Also am I alone in wanting a pre-manufactured Ambika?

even though i just bought a mobius, bass station II and volca beats, i am excited to see new boxes. i won’t get them, but i am excited to spectate while others get that.

16 input fully featured multi track recorder with full editing capability, nice colour display, auxiliaries, solid eq and an analogue Chanel strip built in. Maybe the channel strips a step too far

I’d be mac free at last for something similar to that.

EDIT - at least analogue summing then the mixer could go too.
