Very clever idea
Genius!
Nice work! A version where they fold to face each other could also be cool for transport, given a slight buffer of space in-between. Then no need for dust covers.
I have something like this coming for two Manually Sliced cases, but it does act as a dust cover
Hi there! Absolutely brilliant idea — I’m definitely getting one!
One suggestion to make it even better: consider adding brackets for Velcro straps on the back panel, so short audio/MIDI patch cables can stay neatly in place — no need to re-patch every time.
Also, how about an optional outer case lid with extra space to accommodate connected cables? That would make it even more stage- and studio-ready!
Feel free to attach a little sketch. I’d like to focus on ultimate simplicity with these initial iterations, but seeing these ideas can be useful!
I did have an early carrying case I was working on that was an attempt at being able to carry power supplies/batteries/cables, but somewhere along the way I shifted focus on being able to easily insert the case into various bags. Which explains the wedge shape with soft edges etc.
But as always, it’s very useful to get other fresh eyes on this stuff and hear that feedback.
Amazing designs. Makes me want to go buy a DN2 to pair with my DT2
I meant something like what’s shown in the sketch.
Brackets with an inner opening of about 5x15mm for Velcro straps, which would hold inserted cables in place.
or even:
It’s for the foldable(two devices) version shown in the video.
Sorry for the “masterpiece” drawing
@LaVernWinston
When is the production of the foldable version of the stand for two devices planned?
All I can say is soon-ish! I initially planned to release this weekend, but I’m seeing a common sentiment that this should include a lid. Pairing that with the other common inquiry about where to put the power supply/battery equipment, I think I will design the storage into the lid. Will just need some time set aside for designing and implementing that.
