My label / home away from home

I’m hesitant to post this stuff here because these threads don’t really seem to do that well… but I’m really proud of these releases and I think there’s a few people here who might enjoy them too.

My main project for the past 18 months has been my netlabel, home away from home, where I’ve been able to work with my friends to put out their music, putting all the DIY knowledge I’ve obtained over the years into practice, and learning some new skills in webhosting and webdev along the way.

On Friday we released Hydra by Jayke M. For fans of: IDM, Skee Mask, 90s Warp Records.

In July we put out this single by Nate Swan. Blog house, breaks, club. Only three tracks but each one is really different, which I love.

In March we released missgene’s debut album, penpal. Piano ambient, minimalism, weightless. Nods to Barker and Steve Reich.

Finally, my album from last year. Ambient, post-rock-ish, electroacoustic, glitch, IDM.

Besides bandcamp, you can also listen on nina and youtube (I think I’ll put the catalogue up on subvert too when it becomes available). Thanks

Thank you both!

Yep Hydra really is excellent. I did a little bit of additional prod + mixdown and master for these tracks so I’ve been under the hood: Jayke used an SH01A on just about every track I think, the Usual Suspects OSTirus (Virus emulator) for pads/leads, Slink Filter (you can really hear it on OSL 3108), and we ran the drum break on Illuminated Mtn Path through my Akai S5000 for a bit of grit. I also used a Midiverb II and Roland DEP-3 for reverb sends during the mixdown across the entire EP.
