Here’s a recording of my 25 minute live set using the Octatrack with a 12u rack full of supporting items:
The Octatrack is sending MIDI to a splitter, which controls the following items:
Synths
Novation Bass Station: mostly used for bass or lead
Novation A-Station: 8 voice digital poly used for pads
Roland D-110: used mostly as preset machine because its hard to edit
Drum Machine
Novation Drum Station - nice little digital 808/909 clone: I use at least 3 separate MIDI tracks for this guy, that way I can separate the kick, snare, and hi hats with mutes
Effects
Lexicon MPX-500: this is a really nice but cheap reverb with a lot of other effect types. It is the send effect on my 1u mixer which is a bus for all the synth
Other
I also have a 1u shelf that holds two FMR Audio compressors - one processes the bass station to give it a bit more weight and presence, and the other processes the drum station just to clip it a bit and add some volume to the drums
