I finished my midi controller last night. The main board is a Opendeck L. I used a carrying case I found on the internet. Bought plastic sheeting and cut it to fit. Also found some plastic rails that I drilled into the sides to keep the front panel in place. Drilled all the holes for the switches and pots with my drill. The controller is what I call a 8 channel console. Like an audio mixer. I made it for my Octatrack. Each channel has a black button for playing the sample on that channel, a red button for recording a sample (that could be played with the black button), and 8 knobs which I have set up as volume, delay mix, delay feedback, delay time, hi pass filter, low pass filter, sample start point and sample pitch. Basically it gives me knob per function control of all my most used parameters on the machine. It has din midi and usb midi. SO rad. If anyone has questions let me know. It wasnt’t a cheap project. You really need know what you need. I ended up with a bunch of extra stuff for my next project.
Thanks Sudo Room in Oakland for being a space to work in.
