My band Ghost Fetish released our debut album

We’re a 3-piece synthy goth new wave / post punk band from Seattle. I hope you enjoy!

And here’s the Spotify link too: https://spotify.link/fZmd1ezsuDb

My setup is:

  • Elektron Octatrack as performance mixer/effector/midi sequencer/occasional sample launching
  • Sequential Prophet Rev 2 for basically all the synth sounds you hear. I am almost always running it bi-timbral
  • Arturia drumbrute impact for drums

I wanted a flexible setup that was straightforward enough that I could play our songs at the venue a little tipsy  but also that really feels like performing. For whatever reason I’m not really into song modes, so all of the track changes (verse to chorus, etc) are handled by scenes on the octatrack slider, or by just getting my hands on the synth. I find this very useful because it means that I can extend sections at will, which is great for when the crowd is dancing hard to a track, or for when your bandmate misses a cue!

Anyway, thanks for listening! I’ve always appreciated and learned a ton from this community, so this album happened in no small part because of this forum <3

Whoa, glad I clicked on this! I dig the vocals, very reminiscent of The Cure (which I mean as a compliment). I can definitely hear the sonic signature of the Rev 2. The drums seemed punchy and raw, so I’m not surprised it’s analog. The guitar also really captures the new wave spirit. Followed in Spotify. Keep at it!

I hear the killers, the cure, joy division, various other bands which I’ve enjoyed over the years. I like that you wear your influences on your sleeve, keep at it and thanks for sharing this.

Hell yeah. I wasn’t into this mood until I started listening. Bravo.

Also, I’m with you on song modes. I totally get that.

Nice work, it’s a shame you aren’t playing live in my town tonight.

Aw thank you all for the kind feedback!! We definitely count the Cure as one of our biggest influences, and Joy Division too.

I did use song mode one time with this band— we decided to cover Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics for a show, and the changes in that song are fast and furious haha. I was the one missing cues
