Muting neighbor tracks / hello A4

so I made a mistake and walked into one of those big ass music shops in Germany. They had an A4 on display and even though I managed to walk out without purchasing anything, I returned the next day to take one home. hello A4.

my questions is regarding neighbor tracks: I followed the manual to use the A4 as a filterbank and am getting an expected result. however - when I mute them, nothing changes… I made sure that release of envA isn’t set to infinity but the neighbor seems to play forever after muting. is there a way around? I’d like to toggle my sequenced neighbor if possible… (I’m on OS 1.1b)

happy new year fellow elektronauts! (and apologies if this has been discussed somewhere already - the search functions seems bust)

Muting a track only mutes the sequencer trigs, so you can’t use that to silence a track. You’ll need to turn the track volume down.

yes… furthermore, neighbor voices are tapped after the filter, before the amp:

(see the “to next voice” node)

so you have to find another way to silence the neighbor synth voice… e.g. turn down the volume of the neighbor osc in the filtering track, or use an envelope in the source track to open/close its oscillators…

thanks guys… this makes more sense now…cheers!
