Hi guys! How to record mute tracks in MC?
(not how to mute, but how to record mutes in different patterns of the song)

Oh i thought you meant Depeche Modes record label.

There is no Song Mode in Model:Cycles. You canāt record mute states into a song.

It also doesnāt have the global/pattern mutes thing that the digis have, just global mutes.
I guess the only option is to save various mute states as separate patterns and then play them in a pattern chain (section 9.13/ page 33 in manual)

Thanks, I thought about that, but can track mutes be saved differently on each pattern?
(Like pattern 1 I have muted the kick and pattern 2 I have the kick on)
Damn it, sorry for the confusion, indeed like @Fin25 said the mute state is GLOBAL, so what I mean is that you have to PROGRAM those mutes as pattern variations. For example, the kick track is not muted, but in this pattern variation there are no trigs in the seqeuncer, so the kick is āmutedā. Again, sorry for the confusion.

Yes essentially you clear tracks to āmuteā them in new copy/pasted patterns. The temptation then is to fill those blank tracks with other soundsā¦ at least I do it all the time
