Mutable Instruments - Stages

Also for clarification, this isn’t like a traditional multiplier/divider and I use it to create musically relevant modulation rather than for rhythm and timing

Out of interest has anyone tried the After Later Scenes module? It’s supposed to be a complete replica so would be nice to know if it can be chained with an original stages

Ah i see, I thought there was a mode that let you set BPM and divided - I bring a clock in from Marbles or CV Pal and divide it similarly

Scrap that, it is true division:

With the alternative firmware you can set a stage to looping, hold the button and wiggle the pot and you end up with a true clock multiplier/divider!

Yes, this is what I have been doing with a clocked LFO and the Qiemem firmware.

That firmware is so powerful

Where’d you get the info graphic from? Can you link the full web site? I had a Qiemem cheatsheet bookmarked once-upon-a-time but don’t have it anymore. My Stages had been unracked for a couple of years until two weeks ago.

I don’t have the Afterlater clone but I do have a clone. It definitely has the chaining header and even came with the cable. I would imagine that any clone could be chained with any other clone/original.

A question for Stages offianardos - why are my right 2 LFOS exponential, while my middle 2 are linear, when all set the same?

This is on the alternate firmware and isn’t changed when changing modes.

Is there a button combination to switch between linear and exponential that I missed?

Is it perhaps a calibration issue? If you had the patience to go back to stock and check for the same behaviour, that could prove if it’s calibration or not.

I found this detailed calibration guide but it needs a lot of special tools and know-how.:

I’m not aware of any way to toggle curves. My understanding is that the pots morph between shapes.

Hmm I might reflash the firmware and see if that helps

OK, this seems to be the NTS-2 Oscilloscope. If I swap channels 1 and 4, I get thr same result.

Channels 1 and 2 were set to AC instead of DC…
