Good to see some Helge in here.
Possibly the most polarizing artist (music, film, books) and an absolute treasure. Most of his music is just taking the piss out of Schlager but he’s in fact a very sophisticated jazz musician and multi-instrumentalist. His live shows are the stuff of legends. All improvised and going from stupid silly to super highbrow in the blink of an eye. Many people can’t stomach it.

I think for learning German also the best & coolest kids band can be a good source: „Deine Freunde“. The lyrics are fun and easy to enjoy plus the music is pretty enjoyable.
