The weird thing is that there is some kind of technique to that. I remember being a child, shaking my goddamn guitar forever, sometimes giving up and almost being forced to learn finger picking. I couldn’t create an instructional dvd on it, but nowadays, it rarely happens, but I think I get it out in about 10 seconds if it happens

Acoustic guitars with certain kinds of internal bracing make it really difficult. My ovation has a technique that will work almost every time, but I used to have some dreadnought style acoustic that had huge ribs inside of it and there would be times when the pick got stuck in a corner or between them or something and you couldn’t even hear it rattling around in there anymore. Have to physically dislodge it just to get back to trying to shake it free
