Next time my wife talks about the sexism she’s experienced in her life, or when my black friends talk about the racism they’ve suffered/witnessed throughout theirs, at least I can come back to them and say “I know how you feel, this guy on the internet made a millennial joke”…

you’re really not getting it man. no one is saying that the millenial thing is as serious as those other ones. the point is there shouldnt be snarky crap about any group of people at all, regardless of the seriousness. like, literally just stop saying “boomers are responsible for X” or “millennials can’t X”. It’s so easy to not say stuff like that
I know nothing about @Fin25 other than his posts here, but he strikes me as the kind of guy that if I didn’t know him, I might be a little uneasy, but if I was at a bar arguing with some prick about racism, sexism, politics, whatever, I would be very glad to have with me.
Maybe it’s the dog photos. But still–I’m willing to cut people some slack if they’re kind of an asshole sometimes but their heart is in the right place. The internet just doesn’t do tone, does it? Among my friends “fuck you” is an endearment… 
No judgement on anyone here–we all have different tolerances. Anyway:
