You’ll get it man. MIDI is super easy. Repetition….once it’s locked in there, it’ll be a piece of cake 
I PURPOSELY did not setup any templates or anything when I was sorting it out, forcing me to learn. Lots of ‘fuck me’ days till one day it all just made sense.

No need to talk down to me. Please remember that not everyone learns the same way. I was just saying I can relate to the posted meme.
I’ve read the manuals and I’ve got them set up reasonably well for now. Figuring out midi routing and file structure / preset / sample management / parts (virus) / parts (OT)… is not really the fun part of using these machines for me. Especially while still learning how the interface and navigation works on the “brand new to me” Virus Ti.

First of all: I’m sorry, I was drunk and being a jerk.
And yes, the Octatrack definitely is a complicated machine. But the MIDI part, to me, was the part that was straight forward and logical.
Same on the Virus. I can’t design good sounds on it, but triggering via MIDI is a piece of cake.
