Hallo! I’ve seen a few folks have created a thread to have a single place to share their music releases and that seems like quite a neat way to do things. I’ve just released my latest album, often I tend to have some ridiculous concept or other but this time it’s a bit more of an autobiographical thing that follows on from an album I did a few years ago.
Stylistically it’s in the ball park of stuff like Toytronic, City Centre Offices, the more melodic end of your Artificial Intelligencey type stuff. From the technical side, it was mostly written using my DT2 and MNM - the MNM was mainly a sound source. The MNM was the first Elektron I got way back in the late 00’s and I was keen to re-explore it again to see how my adventures with the more recent Elektron boxes would influence it. Once the core songs were recorded into Live, I added more stuff from Imposcar, Minifreak V and Reason’s Algoritim (which is a synth I really can’t recommend - it seemed so nice on paper but the reality of programming an FM synth with such coarse control of envelopes ripped my knitting).
