Thanks to everyone who voted! Bad News: I was a bit heartbroken to find out that I made “only” the third place (though out of 649 composers!) - heartbroken because I really thought I had a chance. But as an autodidact, without all the academic connections, I just can’t compete with people who just send out a circular memo at their university.
However! Good News: I won the New Music Award 2025/26 from the Christoph and Stephan Kaske Foundation and the NMZ.

Third place isn’t the first one, but it is also far from the last and well deserved and earned as well, against a large competition after all.
