Multimap mind warp

Can anyone explain to me how to map specific sounds to specific note / octave ranges?

For example, if I have a numerical list of 128 sounds in bank D and I want to choose let’s say - only sound’s 5, 17, 29, 58, 72, 84 - and map them to a range of notes from mid C - is it possible or can you only map a sequence from 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 … and so on? This would be especially helpful if you only want to use the keys on the A4.

I am guessing I will have to import the sounds in a cluster somewhere else on the A4 and then access just that section but I am confused as to how the sounds are mapped to note values / ranges?

Or is it a case of literally entering individual sounds to specific notes on a one by one basis to build a solid drumkit rather than half a drumkit with a few odd sounds thrown in between?

Also, I have actually multimapped a bunch of sounds but I can’t see the names of these sounds so am I missing something or just being really dumb and expecting too much? It would be great to be able to see the name of the sound that can be (is) mapped.

Haven’t tried it yet, but AFAICT you can map individual sounds to notes. You’re right, it would be habdy to see names rather than note #s…maybe the # could scroll to show the name or holding down function would let you scroll through the sound pool or something.

You can use offsets if the sound slots needed are not consecutive. It’s still kinda weird though. You still need to organize. But I suppose you could also use multiple multi map sound slots entries instead since you can have 128.

SOUND SLOT sets which one of the 128 Sounds, found in the Sound pool of the active project, the keyboard range will play. If set to OFF, the track Sound of the chosen TRACK above will be played.
SOUND INC sets by what increment the next key in the chosen keyboard range will play the next sound slot Sound. If set to 0, the same Sound as defined above will be played across the whole defined range. If set to 1, it will play the next successive sound slot Sound for each successive key pressed. Setting the value to 2 will play every other Sound starting from the sound slot, setting it to 4 every fourth and so on.
