Multi-timbre/polyphony question - what am i doing wrong?

I just got an A4 and am working on learning the sound design engine. I’m familiar with the Elektron workflow (feel quite savvy/comfortable on the DN/DT) but the A4 feels quite different so far (not in a bad way).

When I clear out a track and start from an init patch and attempt to, say, play a chord I’m having a bit of trouble. I go into the poly config menu and select all 4 voices and deselect “use track sounds”. I can see the lights flashing in the trig section as I press keys. However I cannot seem to play a chord (ie press multiple keys at once and hear them simultaneously sound). What am I dong wrong? In the video below at 1:30 it appears as if he’s doing this but I can’t sort it out and am feeling quite dumb.

Thanks for any help

I guess you chose Unison poly mode…
If so choose another one instead.

I understood that as all track sounds are played, but maybe there’s only one…

I’m saying im unable to press multiple keys and hear them play together as a chord… sorry if i that was unclear!

So as mentioned check Poly mode (Allocation), choose anything but UNISON, and check if tracks are muted…:slightly_smiling_face:
