Multi map (adding trigs)

Just set up first drum kit in multimap. Such a sweet feature  All good except I can only live record beats. I assumed I’d be able to hit trig + key to add separate hits, and edit in the same way, like using a normal drum step sequencer. Am I missing something?

Also just noticed when I hold down a trig, the light above the first keyboard key lights up. Can’t remember seeing why in the manual?

Edit - now finding the multimap notes don’t seem to send to fx? When I tweak the fx send there is a signal but soon as I let go it dies, any ideas?

Yeah, it would be nice.

What I end up doing is: assign that track to a kick, set some trigs, switch into live record and add the rest (since I have the kick for timing).

Good tip to assign drum track to kick for placing initial trigs, thanks  shame it’s limited to live rec overall though, would be much easier to place stuff (hi-hats especially…) in the polyphony gaps in fast beats if could just place trigs…

God bless cuckoo. Workaround at 15.30 on this video. Not as quick as it could be if it was possible via trig + Key but not too shabby

Also figured out that multimap doesn’t actually run the multimap sounds through the current track’s fx/settings. It uses the fx settings that were saved with the soundsl in pool. So I can hear each sound’s fx being tweaked in realtime but as soon as I stop changing the value and the sounds are trigged again in the pattern, they revert to their saved state. Probably obvious to a lot of users but just putting this out there in case anyone else is confused by it. Think I’m gonna grab another little Zoom multifx pedal for permanent ‘multimap drums fx’ duties, nice to have the separate outputs for this kind of stuff.
