Grew up in Hastings. Right by the sea. South east coast.

Looks like a pretty cool place to grow up. Amazing looking cliffs and water. I’m not getting on that damn funicular though.
Steepest one in the world? There’s two . One on the East Hill (the exposed one)
One on the West Hill, which goes through a tunnel in the sandstone rock.
Cool technology, one carriage descends and pulls the other one up. Theyve been in use since the victorians built them.

Okay, that’s pretty impressive. I guess they’ve proven themselves safe enough by now.
I’ve seen a few roller coaster accidents in the States recently, so any remotely similar looking mode of transport freaks me out a little I guess.
