MPC Thread : MPC Live - MPC X - MPC One (Part 4)

Doesn’t it totally work if you just set the tempo to the same tempo of the loop before loading the loop on the audio track, then change it back to your song tempo? And this only applies to loops you import into your project, not loops you sample/resample, right?

Is a bit of pain while they fix it but still very much usable. Also the elastique option is the same quality as the super, no? Or better probably as it is an offline only process.

It adds latency to loop and puts it out of sync and sounds terrible also. ill try again tomorrow maybe it works better in drum tracks because audio tracks it seems unusable

Are you talking about elastique pro?

Warp super algorithm the new one

On a positive note. Starting to get more familiar with things it’s a powerful machine. Speaker sounds great. USB c is awesome for midi/audio.

Big improvement on speaker….

Would just like to clear up more misinformation. There is no bug preventing Articulations from being recorded from clips to arranger. Just be sure to select record Pad xy events under sequencer in preferences.

Also, while the mpce pads can only effect samples currently…the touchstrip can be used to do all manners of xy, fx, modulation shenanigans like this here. With a few weeks experience under my belt, this feels like it’ll always be the best way tho I won’t kick and scream if/when Akai brings mpce control to internal plugins.

I just connected to Live 3 to my computer and got a warning text that the storage is almost full.

It seems like my expansions have been downloaded into the internal storage.
It is really tempting to just move all the files from -mpc contents>expansions to my expansions folder I have on the ssd.
Is there maybe another way of doing this? Someone who have moved expansions from the internal to the ssd?

Cant find any information about this in the manual.

Thanks for this tip, was trying to do something similar on Chat GPT but getting inconsistent results. This has been great.

I’ve always had my expansions install to the user-installed drive. Maybe the L3 will be more stable, but when my L2 would bug out I’d reset the entire firmware so as not to make a worse mess of things. Afterwards point the MPC to where the expansions are and done.

Apologies. My initial response assumed you had accidentally installed user expansions into your factory internal content drive.

If you are just referring to the factory Live 3 content, it’s recommended to leave it be. You don’t need to install or really bother the factory content drive at all.

You can keep it ghetto and use tape. LOL
These things should be about $25. I like the white Force because it makes the black buttons & knobs stand out more, which makes it look less cluttered. This pic has a Live 3 with white buttons so it’s not the same effect.

LOL Someone said, it looks like a normal retro irl & that the pic is crappy for whatever reason. I don’t why the changed the color of the buttons. I know it’s a digital pic, but come on…

I missed the buttons on first glance. Are these… are these stickers to go on the rubber buttons? There’s some side-eye coupons going out for free if that’s the case.

No, they just did a crappy job making this photo.

AKAI need to take a leaf out of Rolands book - the removable faceplate on the 404MKII makes sticking bombing it an option - it’s a shame they don’t sell faceplates though, missed opportunity imo, leaving cash in the bank!

Yeah, Akai could boost their fun factor as a company. They even JJOS had custom splash screens & Pin-Pong. They should some music games built-in. They got that big-ass colorful touchscreen in 2025 but no Candy Crush or whatever. What a waste!
It would be cool if they had a game where we could use our samples for sound FXs & our music for the soundtrack.
