More importantly: Delay Pro is on sale as well, and that one was still missing from my collection :sunglasses:

Delay pro is such a beautiful little thing. Was recommended it here, got it in a sale like this and no regrets.

Yeah I tried the trial. Some clever stuff in there with that clearing of the buffer and envelope following. Very cool.

Wot?

Edit: Arrr gonna wait till it’s a bit cheaper than that. I got patience

40 spacebucks is as low as it goes I believe. I had another fiver off in virtual PB money so that helped a bit in my case.

I’m sure it can go lower, it must! Eventually

So, about MPC 3.0 os update.

The arranger view is badass!
But why if we chain the sequences in Song mode, we dont see the full arranger view ( with all sequences in chain ). That will be even more badass!

Futhermore, in arranger view, why not a text on top in which sequence we are editing?

Last, in arranger view, is there a way to switch between sequences from there?
A shortcut? :smirk:

For the rest, im starting to enjoy the device a lot. Great update.

The sequence is the arrangement and the arrangement is the sequence.

Another way to describe it is, the arranger just lets you view the sequence in a linear way. The way you view your sequence is what’s new. Not the arranger, if that makes sense.

So convert your Song to a sequence and that’s your arrangement.

And then add markers to the timeline if you want it to show the sections/sequences names.

First time playing guitar and bass into the MPC Live 2, I was going to do some pedal stuff but I was quite baked and feeling lazy (hence there’s no arrangement so to speak). Guitar and bass just DI’d using a scarlett interface as a preamp, everything else is just in box.

It was good fun as well to just have the loop playing, going into the sampler and then just playing along. Get a nice long recording and then chop it up into useful phrases and convert them to a drum program and you can play with looping bits of phrases on the fly. Very nice.

Trying to learn this machine a bit tonight (Live 2)…my trial has started for the 0px-4 but I can’t seem to get it…MPC says I have no drive selected/available? Not sure what this means

You need to have an SD card or external drive plugged in to install to.

Thanks! I do have an SD card installed…I’d like to start getting more instrument and fx plugins, but I really need to find some tutorials on how to get them…

I just know I hit this issue when I didn’t have my SD card popped in. Good luck! I think focusing on opx-4 is probably a better start than getting loads of other plugins.

Nice track to get lost in your own thoughts.

Those who have moved to 3.0 - what is the workflow now like working with external audio?

Thinking specifically guitar/bass?

Strongly considering the keys 37, but my ā€˜ideal’ with an MPC was always to use them a bit like a portastudio, having the drums, samples etc and then being able to record over the top with audio from guitar and bass 4 track style. Never quite worked like that in the old firmware though. Any better now?
