The number of video effect transitions in the first minute of this video is straight up hysterical. Someone needs to tell them this is gonna make people throw up.

On full mixes… I’m not sure, but it sounded quite interesting on single hits…

It can absolutely be used and abused in an obnoxious way yea, and most likely will be.

I don’t get all the hating… it is basically elektron for dummies.

My stance is all a decoy, I just want that ā€˜giving you a whole new layer of creativity’ thing to myself. :expressionless:

English middle-aged , SuperDry cool, hip hop here I cometh. :sunglasses::v:

Yea. This hate is weird. People literally do the same thing with the OT crossfader and the OT gets labeled gods gift to performance sampling…

To be fair people had the same reaction about the TR8’s Scatter FX. Now the box is Internet forum legendary so…there’s that.

It’s not like peoples comments on this forum will make Akai change their mind and take the plug in off their website

Man you ain’t lying. Most use shutter FXs in horrible ways. Just because you can use a feature doesn’t mean you should, especially if it’s takes the soul out of the music.

Ironically the feature that’s supposed to bring the rhythm to life is also the the same feature that used to instantly kill the groove. It cool if used very lightly almost as if there’s minor glitches but not major enough to disrupt the rhythm…unless you’re nice like that.

The TR isn’t legendary because of the Scatter FX, thought it’s way more customizable than it appears, plus you can bypass the Scatter FX but still send stuff to its 2 FXs. Dope!

Also, let’s be clear the hate isn’t for the FX, it for how most people use it badly. Big difference.

It’s not hate, it’s ribbing/piss-taking… jumping to the presumption of hate, now that’s weird.

That flex beat can make some nice transitions, but it’s a PITA to program.

I need more pads.

Major facepalm, but until just now I didn’t notice the force had a crossfader! How can it be programmed?

I’m using a mini message roller from Target & it’s way better than leaving it flat, plus you can pull the cables thru the middle so won’t constantly get tangled when moving the Force around.

PMS must suck

Custom scenes with multiple parameters assigned to each scene.

You press edit+A/B side of the crossfader & assign what you want. Each side I hear can have up to 128 different parameters assign to them & their min/max values can be flipped - so some can to start low & go higher when moving left while some start high & get lower.

You also use MIDI learn & there’s 1 shortcut way to assign stuff, but I can’t remember.

Here’s a post on all the videos on the Force marcos I could find at the time awhile back:AKAI Force - #2656 by Poetic-Noise
