MPC Thread : MPC Live - MPC X - MPC One (Part 2)

Does anyone think there’ll be a deep sale for the plugins? I like them in concept, but I’m not going to pay $$$ for all of them. Black Friday is the time I figured they might be in the ballpark of affordable. This is my first Black Friday with an Akai in the house, so I have no idea if it’s something they do or not.

Can anyone give me some clues what their naming convention is ? Is it possible to set BPM in the file name so the MPC detects it ? As with the key of the sample ?

I hate to try to classify Dakim, I guess he’s a little bit of everything

if you mean like Ableton, no doesn’t have that

It autodetects the key of all samples, not sure if it even looks at the file name?

They are already sort of “discounted” so I doubt that…

I sent Akai/inMusic an email 4 weeks ago with a simple question;

  • before I purchase Flavor Pro, can you tell me how many devices I can run it on please?

I’ve just received a reply;

The Flavor Pro can be activated on up to 3 devices simultaneously at any one time. This includes computers and standalone MPC hardware.
If you wanted to use the software across these devices, you can manually de-activate Flavor Pro on one unit to free up a space for another.

Thought others might want to know.

4 weeks though!!
It drives me mad that Akai (or any companies) customer service is so bad in 2022.

There appears to be a sale on MPC plugin instruments. i’m not sure if you have to log onto your InMusicBrands account first.

Keys Collection - $99, down from $199
Mini D - $59 down from $79
OPx4 - $79 down from $149

To see the discounted prices, add them to your cart, then look at your cart.

Fabric Collection was $109 at checkout and Stage Piano $49 (you only see the Black Friday prices at checkout)

MPC Instrument Collection

was £349.00
now £200.00

Meh… still too expensive for what they are IMO.

I just wanted Stage EP, OPx4, and Organ, really.

Will probably get Mini D so I can do a cover of Nuthin But a G Thang with just my MPC One

EDIT: I get a total of $250-something for the whole MPC Instrument Collection plus Mini D. Only $20 more than Keys Collection + OPx4 + MiniD.

Well played, Akai.

Ok after some discussion on the software deals thread, this seems to be the hack.

Do not go to the MPC Store website. Go to https://www.airmusictech.com/virtual-instruments.html instead.

Add the stuff you want to you cart. When you’re ready go to Checkout.

Enter MPC50 coupon code at the Checkout popup.

MPC Instrument Collection price gets knocked down to $99.50.

Actually I think everything in the cart gets knocked down. For me, $25 each for Mini D and Flavor Pro.

I honestly don’t have much interest in the instruments other than the ones I listed before, but a deal is a deal

Neat, I just got the Flavour Pro for under £25.

This is huge thank you haha. I’ve got an MPC key arriving today and wanted to pickup flavor pro and model d. Easy money savings right here @GovernorSilver came through :smiley:

tbh might add the instrument collection, use it in the daw, who knows.

edit: i added the instrument collection.
was $150 for instrument collection, model d and flavor pro.
Really didn’t need model d, but at $25 it’s all good. Same with the instrument collection.
but for $150 i may not even keep the mpc key and just use these in the software lol

as another side note, this also applied to their other products and it’s kinda ridiculous in some cases. most of the AIR vsts are $4.99, which if you really want one is pretty much nothing.
Should be free considering their atrocious UI tho :stuck_out_tongue:

sigh i dropped $200 on three plugins about 20 minutes before they sent the code

That’s more like it for a deal!

This is finally the price many of us have said we’d pay since day one of the release!

I managed to get the Instrument Collection for;

Total: £82.92

At this price, with a Force, an MPC and a DAW for the VST, it’s pretty good!

That works a treat, thank you :+1: Just picked up the Keys Collection for $49.50. The Stage Piano sounds surprisingly good.

A bit confused regarding the differences between fabric collection and the MPC instrument collection.

Which is the one that came with the MPC keys that’s supposed to sound really good?

instrument collection includes fabric collection (it says in the description)

my guess is they advertised more specifics with the fabric collection to bolster it’s value as a standalone collection (why it says Fabric EP and stuff like that) but I’m under the impression all of the fabric collection is included in the MPC Inst. collection.

MPC Instrument Collection is the bundle that comes free with MPC Keys 61.

Fabric Collection is part of the other collection
