I know this isn’t a movie but it felt like a long boring one. I just tried to watch the new Boba Fett show and in my opinion it’s one of the lamest shows I have ever seen.

Holy shit! Just got back from new Spider-Man….

It’s awesome. That’s all I can say. Don’t wanna ruin one second of it. Lot of fun. :+1:t6:

It’s fascinating. I loved the new Matrix :stuck_out_tongue:

I absolutely didn’t go in expecting what i saw, which helped.

this is my least favorite apocalypse scenario, and it looks like the closet to what we’re going to get. I was hoping for an alien invasion.

CHUNGKING EXPRESS

Fay Wong’s daughter, Leah Dou, is also a singer.

FALLEN ANGELS

Apparently Karmacoma[Massive Attack]'s royalties were too high, so Wong Kar Wai got his music director Frankie Chan to write a similar song.

Raging Fire

A great action film. This is the best Donnie Yen police movie in recent years.
It is the last film of the director Benny Chan.

Makes me want to watch it just to see how bad it is.

Oooffff

Do it. I think that’s what they wanted!! So meta! Funded by Mark Zuckerberg (he thought it was a good movie though)

re Matrix Resurrections, I know a few of the people who were prominently involved in making this film…the snobbery around the whole process and how “revolutionary” and “thought provoking” this one would be was a little hard to bear. To be honest, given the hype of the crew, the seeming thought and investment that went into this, I can’t believe how poorly it is received, they made it sound like it would be the Matrix that would end all Matrices (haven’t watched it myself yet and don’t feel much like it either).

I’m very confused how they fucked up this movie because … it was close but at the same time not even close to be a nice sequel. Someone fu**ed up… seems like their decision to have that director was more of a “hey why not a woman - we need to have more female directors - no matter what!” disregarding the experience that director had

(not bashing females here! just the current culture where the thing between your legs is more important than expertise)

edit… okay … just looked her up:

Lilly Wachowski (born December 29, 1967, formerly known as Andy Wachowski are American film and television directors, writers and producers.[3] The sisters are both [trans women]

one step ahead of my rant :upside_down_face:

Also didn’t know they were doing every movie - sorry for my uninformed rant

your edit just made it before my correction

Just watched the new Bond, highly recommended if you like stylish action & Bond movies. Probably the best modern Bond, with all the traditional ingredients that made the series so fun but also with some real emotional integrity that’s never really been there. It’s shallow like a puddle, but still refreshing. Also one of the best villain lairs in the franchise IMO.

I’m with Mark Kermode when it comes to Matrix films. The first one was fine as it was, didn’t need any sequels and certainly doesn’t need a fourth one 20 years later.

Whatever though, people gotta make a living, I guess.

Also watched Prime Cut, odd 70s crime movie with Lee Marvin as an Irish mafia enforcer with a heart of gold and Gene Hackman as a twisted uhhh cattle rancher and meat mogul called Mary Ann. Hackman sells women out of his stable and makes sausage out of his enemies, while Lee Marvin kills a lot of hillbillies with a machine gun. Also featuring a young, gorgeous Sissy Spacek. Has one of the silliest chase scenes ever, Lee and Sissy running in a field being chased by a wheat harvester that moves just a bit faster than walking speed.
