Most weird problem with pitch

I don’t want to post topics that have already been covered, although I’d love to, I’m consulting the manual and tutorials on most things but this is too weird to not bring up here.

I’ve discovered the delights of crossfading between different sections of the same sample with the levels/scenes and sample start points.

I copy track 1 to track 2, identical pitch, identical static machine, identical sample, diff sample start point

all good, much fun

I copy track 1 to track 5 or aesthetic sake, it’s nice to have left crossfader scene on left track, right crossfader scene on right track (track 5)

and it’s a different pitch, it plays back slightly faster.

has anyone else had this?

Am i doing something incredibly dumb that I haven’t realised?

any help much appreciated!

You might have accidentally bumped the pitch knob on one of your scenes… Or have an lfo set to pitch on one of your scenes??
Hold down the offending scene and look for the green lights that tell you where your scene locked parameters are.
