@lesstalkmoredisco Although, personally, I make everything below 150hz mono, if it needs it . I rarely have any stereo information in my mixes below 300hz so I dont have to address it very often.

I low cut my FX at around 300hz and hicut/shelf them around 6-8khz. (Mainly because the quadraverb is noisy and I run everything through it, so it needs controlling)

And yes! Protect your transients! Subtle saturation, subtle compression, subtle limiting. This helps you get that elusive ‘punch’.

Small moves, less is more.

Kinda genre specific though… really depends on whats happening in your music.

Don’t be like me for not knowing this for years and press the little arrow button on the EQ-8 for a nice large spectrum analyzer and band selection :slight_smile:
