Mellotron

Get you a mellotron mini, plug it up in some phaser & lofi pedals, and you are off to the psychedelic races.

That back order date…

Mellotron

I had a Mellotron Mini, I sold it because I used GForce MTron 9 times out of 10. The range of the Streetly libraries is fantastic compared to the basic set that Mellotron supplies (+$400 per card for expansions).

If a hardware setup is a necessity, maybe, but for the cost of a Mellotron I daresay I’d rather have a basic laptop and interface dedicated solely to running MTron Pro.

I wonder if it’s like this everywhere. Seems like a massive wait time since the first wave.

I think the heat from the Analogue synth will eventually impact the gum used to stick the plastic on the Muse. Adhesive does not like heat as it weakens it.

Well, they need to travel by container ship after all.

the panel ā€œdecalā€ is the same as used on the Grandmother and Matriarch and multiple DSI synths. first time I ever saw it was on the Evolver desktop, back in 2004. those seem fine, twenty years later. so why shouldn’t the Muse be?

Because the heat from the Muse is much hotter. These Polys generate a lot of heat hence the numerous fans. Its a shame but i can see why as it cuts costs quite a lot.

Still to announce it, only make enough for a select few, and then make everyone else wait 6 months lol. Everyone was praising them for having stock.

Legowelt: ā€These tracks were made during the sound design for the presets of the new Moog Muse synthesizer. I was part of the sound design team and Moog gave me a prototype dev unit last year. Back then, before they changed the name, this synth was still called MIRROR so this explains the title  Its all pretty much 100% the Muse synth with some added Midiverb reverb.ā€

They did have stock - I ordered mine late on release day and they didn’t sell out until the next morning.

Plenty of things work this way; the TEO-5 is working this way (currently out of stock everywhere, first batch is gone).

Plus, it isn’t as if we haven’t figured out heat resistant adhesives, and the top panel remains cool enough to touch safely at any rate.

True, I’m just salty cause I had it in my cart and stalled and missed out hah

Fair, I’ve been there.

Look at this way, if you wait a bit longer you’re more likely to experience it with even newer firmware than 1.1.0!

hotter than the PolyEvolver, which uses the same decal? source?

Decals are horrible for a Synth at this cost… The Pro 3 SE version comes with true printed Font and its way nicer and clearer than the Non SE Pro 3.

you’d prolly be REALLY pissed at the Moog One decals then…

Yeah thats Horrible too… The only Sequentials that use them were like you say older models and the Take 5 and TEO…
Just don’t understand why Moog would choose them on there flagships… Small thing but it still matters to me. It wouldn’t stop me from buying one of course.

Voyagers all used 'em too. not like it’s an inMusic cutting cost thing. lots of companies use them. they’re relatively industry standard at this point.
