Moog Labyrinth

I don’t know about any of that.

I see tools worthy of abusing! Not to say there’s nothing design wise that I don’t like… basically if you make it look like Beat Thang, I’m out.

This looks like (semi) modular as to me all the others do too.

Look like the leaks were all part of the “hype” process, as is the case with some companies.

The first leaked screenshot or two could be deliberate, but I highly doubt Moog ever intended for their product to fall in the hands of some random dude making terrible fart noises with it. It’s kind of hilarious watching this guy go from a YouTube nobody to making daily uploads with edgy thumbnails; it’s like he’s speedrunning the shitty GearTube arc.

GearTube careers were made that day :joy:

Here are the artists/people demoing:

These compositions were written and performed inside each artist’s personal creative space, demonstrating how they use Labyrinth as part of their larger production setups. Follow Satoshi Tomiie, Antenes, Keith Fullerton Whitman, and Gladstone Deluxe down the rabbit hole as they explore the endlessly forking paths of Labyrinth.

Oh man, the quantizer on the sequencer is a killer addition. Sounds great. I find myself comparing this to my 0-coast, 0Ctrl and Mavis together, and this doesn’t quite replace them, but comes very close…

Loopop suggests putting larger knobs on the corrupt and CV range controls. Easy enough.

He also wished for a way to edit the notes of any particular sequence point.

Yeah, I missed it all… This is how gear should be treated

I was interested instantly, not wowed by any of the leaks/early demos but think Mylar got me on this: great demos in context and explanations.

Cool to learn that it’s Max/Patricia’s design too, love his work!

I believe something they missed here is adding ext input / output for quantisers (to process signals from DFAM seq for example ).

The sequencing side of this feels like what I wanted the subharmonicon to be. I’m not in love with anything in the demos so far though, so I think I’m safe from gas.
