thank you! it’s a gem of a box for sure.

I bought this device to make sick beats,
But I fell in love with it making ambient…

It’s remarkable how flexible this device is.

Just the fact that I can stake oscillators and have three different delay lines going is incredible

And the crazy thing is my favorite machine is GND - SIN, it seems like my kink is pure sine waves

Regarding the audio, arpeggio is one Sid track with delay set to delay time 47.
It is triggering a GND SIN track with delay set to delay time 63 which is triggering a reverb track which has a delay set to delay time 95.

The bass track is a Dynamic FM machine with low envelope settings to creates this pulsating bass.

Lead is DPRO WAVE going into CXM 1978

Granted the MNM reverb is more suited for percussive elements rather than synth lines, it stills sits decently in the mix.

Lovely track! And I agree: There is something special about the GND-SIN machine on the MNM. It is somehow both clean and slightly lofi - definitely one of my favorite machines too!

How do i get a drone going without the envelope retriggering?

I don’t know of any magician level tricks… the Amp definitely doesn’t drone…

Maybe try using the delay line to get feedback going. You can use the delay filter and EQ to trim the signal… if you want further manipulation you could run it through a FX track to alter it further…

Sadly I don’t think you can get any droning out of the oscillators.

Decay and Release at max, trigger one time and then press pause?

Thanks @MichaalHell / @JacopoAcquafresca , I’m looping back to the workflow and wondered if I’d have to ā€œplayā€ the drone to get that response, guess I’m not missing any other tricks

To my knowledge, full amp decay and release isn’t infinite… I’m not :100: though.

We already had this conversation but unfortunately we didn’t finished it.
Personally I made it several tracks and gigs without problem, I don’t know if it is the strange behaviour of my MM. Classic workflow for me is: full decay and release, lvl of 6 swave tracks at 0, i put a trigger on the first step then I press play. After some void step I play pause, then I rise the levels and play for 20 minutes changing the intensity of the 6 differents drones.

I will definetly try this!
Is it pausing the sequencer that makes it drone?

Frankly, I think it is not. I pause in order to not retrig them after 16 steps (or the length of the pattern). I think you can also switch to a ā€œvoidā€ pattern, or remove the trigs, but I’m not 100% sure about it. I’m not also very sure about attack and hold settings because I ā€œneverā€ had the problem that the sound went off.
