Modulating Start Time on Static Machines?

In the manual it says that Static machines aren’t optimized for start time modulation. What happens if you do use it? It seems to be working OK for me - but there are a few clicks here and there. Are these clicks the caveat?

We all know you can’t expect a static machine to keep up with some crazy lfo modulations, but i’m consistently getting this dropout (i think since one of the fairly recent updates, i’m on 1.25H) This is with the stock later CF card, has this been discussed before, thoughts ?
