Modular-One big or 2 small racks

Yep. The time has come. I need more rack space.
This is my current rack, 2 rows of 52hp.

However I have just finished building a DIY Dannysound dynamics stereo compressor system. The initial idea was to just swap the top row out when I wanted the compressor. Although the compressor modules kind of fit (they are deep and chunky boys) there’s almost no space behind them for power cables) it’s a pain in the arse.

So, I have thought about building either a second small case, with room for expansion (I like building DIY kits)

Or one big case, 2 rows of 104hp. example below (I don’t own the M185, it’s just a kit I have my eye on)

I’m open to thoughts and ideas, 2 small cases vs one big one.
Go.

Yep. Good. Now thats out of the way.

One big one is always better than two little ones.

Yeah when you put it like that its obvious.
Dunno why I asked.

Did anyone think of

One big one

AND

One small one

?

(At this rack size I agree the big case is the correct choice)

You should definitely get a bigger case, and keep the small case around for when you run out of room.
