howdy folks, i was just chatting with another local 'naut and we were talking about the lack of a beat/production scene here in Seattle. Modular Nights might be the best thing we got going on.
Modular Nights is a free show series hosted by the group Modular Seattle that happens on the 2nd Sunday of every month down at Substation between Fremont and Ballard. the acts tend to be local musicians, sometimes expanding beyond Seattle into the great PNW zone. i’ve seen banging techno, floaty ambient, and wacky wavy bass music sets, its a great variety of talent in one place.
i’m thinking us Seattle area people can use this thread to link up and connect if we are planning on attending a show. the next one is November 9th, i’m thinking that i will get out to that one. its a great way to support some local talent, meet other cool people and do some dancing!
