just to clarify; when changing patterns on Model:Samples (or Digitone) via an external sequencer with MIDI program change messages, the Model:Samples (or Digitone) is NOT in “Chain” mode, correct?
Just normal pattern playback mode with the external sequencer changing patterns as per MIDI program change messages, correct?
This should mean that on the Model:Samples, of it’s 96 maximum patterns per project, those 96 patterns should be able to be switched infinitely as per the external sequencer?

I don’t have an answer for you but was questioning if generally selecting patterns via program change is possible and will be my weapon of choice when using it together with a DAW. Thanks for reading the manual to me and all the best

I was curious now and had a look in the manual. It’s stated that chaning patterns using program change is basically possible but I can’t find any information on what messages excactely to send. “APPENDIX A: MIDI SPECIFICATIONS” on page 53 doesn’t tell a word about it.
