MnM - Update OS to 1.32b - Problem

I’ve got a Monomachine (Mkii w/ + drive) and am trying to do the software update to 1.32b. I’ve got the file on my laptop, have it loaded into C6 program, and a usb/midi connect from the laptop to the MnM. I also have the MnM set up to “ready to receive…” as per the instructions. When I hit the “send” button on C6, it sends the file and my mini connection (an E-Mu X midi cable) indicates something is happening. But nothing happens on the MnM.

I’ve used this midi cable to do updates like this on non-Elektron gear - but maybe it doesn’t work with Elektron? Anyway, sort of frustrating - and if anyone has an ideas of what might be happening, I’d greatly appreciate the thoughts.

What MIDI interface do you use and what is that kind of cable? 5-din MIDI I hope…

I found this cable. Nothing would work fine, unless you get hold of a MIDI interface. Just to warn you - I had E-MU 2x2 MIDI interface and guess what - SysEx imports were impossible due to Err messages and had to buy the TM-1 anyway… Some interfaces just do not go fine with the MnM…

Thanks for the replies/comments. It actually is an E-Mu USB/Midi unit, but after working with it (and slowing down the transfer rate) I got it to work - pretty happy about it at that.

Glad you sorted this out - when I had this issue with my E-MU tried different C6 setting (delay ticks, etc.) That did not help at all.
