MnM Muting MD Tracks via MIDI?

Not sure if this is a MnM or MD question, or possibly both.

How in the heck do you set up the MIDI track sequencer on the MnM to MUTE individual drum tracks on the MD?

I’m simultaneously looking at the Control Map Editor page on the MD, the MIDI Sequencer Settings page on the MnM, and the MIDI Control Reference page (appendix B) in the MnM manual, and it makes my head spin!

I admit, I am not adept at programming MIDI, so please have mercy!

I don’t see why not. I’ve not tried to do it that way, but I’ve used Lemur to mute the MD as it was going thru the OT with no problems…

Were you muting individual sounds in the MD? How do you set that up?

Appendix B of the manual. The MD has significant midi and sysex implementation!

unfortunately, track muting is only possible using sysex commands. so afaik it can’t be achieved with just the MnM.

If you have an iPad, there is a cool Lemur patch made by a user here, which can handle this.

not true, MD track muting is done via CC.

CC 12 - 15 on base midi channel, base channel +1, +2 and +3, I think it is.

Value 0 is on, >0 is muted.

great! good to know, as i didn’t find the command in the manual (perhaps this has been patched, as i have a very old manual)
