MnM Arp questions

So I use the arp a lot but have hit a couple of snags that I’m hoping are user error. In both cases it’s when the arp is “held” with no trigs on the track. So I setup arp, hold some notes, press record, release notes, arp is held, move on to something else.

  1. It doesn’t seem possible to now mute this held arp track… Or am I missing something?

  2. If I switch patterns the arp track continues to run, which is actually kinda cool, but then I’m struggling to switch it off  I can eventually, but for the life of me I can never remember how - what’s the technique?

Thanks for any ideas.

Cheers!

this is a pretty common issue and i don’t think there’s really a “fix,” but i do think that if you turn off the arp you’re able to kill it…though, of course, pressing stop “definitely” solves the problem.

Thanks xfigz - anyone know if these are bugs or features?

I think you’re speaking about the SID arp play mode.
It engages only with more than one note played.

To deactivate it just press one note(one trig), might it be the same root note of the chord you’re using.

It seems to keep playing when I switch track no matter what mode I’m in…

Anyone know anything about the mute behaviour? It seems counterintuitive that mute doesn’t mute a track arp.

Cheers
