Curious what everyone does to mix/record their music.
i do left/right main out of AR and left/right our of A4 to my focus rite and then into abelton.
does it make that much of a difference if send them out via individual outs?
just curious.
feels like my AR mix needs a little kick…while the A4 sounds stellar.
So far I haven’t had much use for the AR’s individual outs. The way I’ve been using it, I’m basically mixing on the machine. The compressor and effects are a big part of the sound, so right now it makes more sense just to recordthe stereo output.
If your AR mix needs a little kick, it’s definitely worthwhile getting to know the compressor. I’m getting great results from it.
Haven’t got to recording it yet, but I will be using the individual outs to feed into my Sub Phatty , su700 and put through various modular gear.
I’ll be very interested to compare the audio quality between Overbridge and individual outs. Although for me it will be slightly academic as I see myself using the individuals more anyway.
Certainly be very handy and by the sounds of it won’t have to make aggregate device on my Mac, which can cause issues.
