So, you might want to try switching to a different USB port on your computer. Not just the other one in a pair of two, but a separate set. (assuming you have them of course) Plugging into the same root hub sometimes can continue the same behavior even if it’s a different port on the same root hub. So, if you move it to a different root hub (like from a 2.0 set to a 3.0 set for example) it will fully rebalance and redetect the hardware connected, and then the Windows USB stack has a better chance of behaving. There are a lot more intricacies that we could check, but that’s a good first place to start when things like this happen.
