Ever wanted to rip apart MIDI controllers to create a new one? Maybe write a new VST or AU? Or how about finding new ways to perform? Then this is the hack for you.
thought this might be interesting for some of you guys.
just signed up (though I still need to figure out how to get there)
Shit, that would have been cool! And it would have been a perfect reason to visit my brother in STHLM too.
And I´d almost be able to bring my “MIDI-hack” that I´ve already started on. But that´s basically just a re-fit of an old Evolution MK425C into an wooden chassis, inspired of:

I don´t think it would be appropiate to bring a shitload of all kinds of woodworking tools and start routing, drilling and whatever. Having everyone else getting a disaster in their hack because of all dust I´d inevitably make because of that…
Hi! I’m one of the hosts for the hack.
We’re looking for all kind of people to attend and hey, sometimes a simple and well implemented hack is better than a complicated one. So in short, please feel free to apply:)

Hi Rikard!
Very nice initiative indeed. Hopefully it’ll be an successfull one too and that we’ll see more of it in the coming years. I won’t be able to attend unfortunately since I’m going to NIN the weekend prior to your hackdays. I don’t think my family would be too happy about me going back and forth to STHLM for two weekends in a row.
Besides my “hack” is pretty much all about woodworking anyway, so it feels as I wouldn’t add much. But it would have been really fun to attend and see what others come up with.
oh by the way, I’ve posted about your event in fractalaudio’s forum.

Well I’ve been thinking about it and I might have something to make while I’m there (would help others on this forum too!) I’m going to apply

Hi! Thank you for the kind words:) Hopefully this will be the first of many events in the same series, there are so many interesting topics to cover within this area:)
I’m actually dropping by NIN myself, in one way it’s a shame that the don’t happen the same weekend because then I would’ve bugged Trent’s management until he gave a speech at our event…
Stockholm Makerspace is actually almost around the corner and I think they have all the necessary tooling for what you would need, but maybe that’s for next time?
