I’ve searched in the manual and the forum, but couldn’t find the answer to this one!
Does anyone know whether the digitakt sequencer sends a midi message when it comes back to the ‘1’ of the first page? Some sort of restart message?

No, it doesn’t. AFAIK there doesn’t even exist such a MIDI message (transport controls are limited to start/stop/continue).
What do you want to accomplish?
That’s what I feared… Thanks for your reply!
I’m exploring sequencing my modular with the digitakt, and doing so with some semi-generative sequencers within the modular besides the digitakt midi tracks. I would like to reset those modular sequences when the digitakt resets.
I guess I could use one midi note as a gate to tell the modules to reset, and place that note at the end of the digitakt sequencer. This would use up a midi channel, but I rarely need 8 anyway
