Midi sync: slave device snapping to tempo

the rig is AK midi out --> Rytm midi thru --> monomachine

so transport and clock is sent out via the AK. what i would like to do is have it so that i can start the AK and the Rytm, and manually start the mnm sequence as the other 2 are playing. i know how to set it so the mnm doesnt receive transport info, but is there a way to have the mnm automatically start in time with the other 2 machines when i press its play button?

my workaround now is to have it receive transport and have a “blank” pattern repeat - then just move to the one i want when im ready for it
