MIDI Program Change when changing patterns

Hi,

I have an issue with my Octatrack: according to MIDI Monitor, Program Change in AUTO Channel is not being sent after a Pattern Change.

The MIDI sequencer channels are working ok, sending their Program Changes after a part change, or switching to a pattern with a different part configured. But I can’t get auto pattern change to work and send the corresponding message.

I’m trying to get my Sonic Potions LXR to follow Octatrack in pattern switching.

Of course, I have confirmed that SEND is checked in the MIDI SYNC menu :wink:

What setting do you have for PC message send CHANNEL in the PROJECT > MIDI > SYNC menu on the OT?

(Beware that a setting of AUTO does not necessarily mean that the PC messages are sent on the AUTO CHANNEL in the PROJECT > MIDI > CHANNELS menu.)

You are totally right!

I had it set in AUTO, assuming that it will send PC messages over channel 10, which is my AUTO channel in settings. I have changed it to channel 10 and it’s working now.

The issue now is that PC only seem to change the “variation” of the loaded LXR pattern, and not load a new one, so I may be limited to 8 different 16 step variations without manually loading a pattern. But this seems more like an LXR forum question… :wink:
