Midi not sending trig in Grid record mode

I have my synth connected to the midi out of the DT.

I can use the chromatic to trigger the synth, in sample view I can also trigger the synth, but when I set note in the Grid record mode it doesn’t trigger the synth. What could be wrong? It’s not muted either…

What note is being sent in grid mode?

If you live record in chromatic mode does it play back?

I did a live record in chromatic mode, and the trig get assigned, yet not played to the synth. I changed synth to make sure it wasn’t the problem. I will factory reset the DT later today to see maybe I played too much with the config and it’s all mixed up now :wink:

Are you sure you are recording to a MIDI track? The audio tracks won’t send MIDI.

I’m trying on track 9 to 16 - which are midi track I assume, is there more I should be doing to make sure it’s a midi tack?

Is the MIDI track you are using muted? Because a muted MIDI track wouldn’t send notes.

The trig buttons themselves in chromatic mode ignore the mute state => send MIDI notes always.

Yeah I played with the mute / unmute section to no avail . I went ahead with a factory reset and now it’s all working… Not sure what I did wrong, but I’ll be more careful next time to not mess around too much (and not loose all the track I’m working on).

I’m trying to have 1 midi in from a keyboard, which is also a synth, with 3 out, one to the first synth, and 2 to a Circuit. So there is a midi ‘loop’ from my main synth to the DT, which need to accept midi in and send out that same midi when I’m on my synth channel. I’ll experiment a bit more and hopefully I won’t mess things around.
