Midi filtering/config: Keystep Pro > Digitakt + MFB522

hey folks! im new to the digitakt/elektron world.

trying to integrate the both my digitakt and MFB-522 with my keystep pro. feel like most of you probably use the digitakt sequencer, but for numerous reasons wanted to consolidate sequence duties to one machine; the keystep pro. perhaps theres some of you that have tackled this…

on the KSP drum track, drum voices 1-8 fire the digitakt just fine. the remaining voices are set to the MFB-522, which also works fine independently.

when using the MFB, ALL triggered MFB voices also trigger the selected digitakt voice, at their respective pitch(as they would receiving chromatic midi note data).

as deselecting a sample track for a midi track negates all sequence information sent to the digitakt, is there anyway to allow the digitakt to filter/avoid chromatic triggers BESIDES selecting a blank voice? i would like to be able to run both machines simultaneously as well edit voices on the digitakt while both machines run and not have all the extra trigger data from the MFB.
