Can I play a midi file into my octatrack/Analog 4 from a DAW and record the notes?

Yes it’s possible. Like most gear.
just use right channel, press record and it’s done

I requested this back in '11 when the Octatrack was released… well, after they finally enabled midi tracks that is.

Elektron basically told me to go buy a midi sequencer…
