If you map for example the filter type (of the auto filter) in Ableton, where you step through a few different options, is the EC4 able to display part of that text instead of numbers?
Same goes for settings like semitones, does it ‘understand’ that it should only display e.g. -24 to + 24?
nope that it does not. It’s not as bi-directionally intelligent as like the push 2/3 controller. You can choose a number of display settings like 0-100, 0-127, 0-10.000 or visual bar. I tend to keep it at bar setting. I always map the down right button to show/hide the vst, so i am not really bothered by it not showing the values as much. Although I do appreciate that in the push 2 controller I have as a hardware synth-y kind of feel.
