Midi expression pedal for A4 Mk1

I’m looking for an expression pedal that sends midi CC to use with my A4 Mk1, ideally to control a performance macro. Is anyone doing something like this?

There does not seem to be that many available options for doing this. I’m considering this: https://www.sourceaudio.net/reflex-expression-controller.html
The Source Audio Reflex Universal Expression Controller but I am concerned that the CC# may not be assignable. I can see in the manual how you assign the midi channel but not the CC#, it would be ashame to spend 200+ on this pedal and be stuck controlling pitchbend or something.

I’m also aware of the behringer FCB1010 but I do not have a MIDI interface for my computer and it looks next to impossible to program without using one of the software editors.

Do anyone have some feedback on the best way to go about this or any other options?

Thanks

Analog Drive seems to do it :

Sets the destination of the signal from Exp Gain and Exp Mid.
IE = Internal and External (MIDI) –
E = Only External (MIDI)
I– = Only Internal
–– = No destination

Maybe fixed CC.
I use a FC 200 Roland.
I had Fcb 1010, iirc you can set the 2 Exp CC without computer.
Eventide Stomp boxes like Space can do it, Boss Rc 300, Rc 505, maybe Rc 202…

Seems a good choice!

MIDI Continuous Controller Messages: Send up to three independently configurable MIDI CC messages via the MIDI out or the USB Port.

Thanks sezare,

If it wasn’t clear in my OP I’m only concerned with finding a midi expression peddle that I can configure to control one of the A4 Mk1’s performance macros.

So for the FCB1010 it is easy to set the expression pedal midi CC number without using a software editor?

IIRC yes. I didn’t like switches settings.

You’ll be wanting one of these…

I have the Source Audio Reflex pedal. It is well built and very versatile. You can assign CC number using the same buttons and knob as for setting midi channel, that you would have seen in the manual. And the settings can be saved and loaded as presets. Of course it does way more than that, so it may be overkill (ie overpriced) for what you need. But its an excellent pedal.

Thanks for the recommendations. I ended up getting the Source Audio Reflex which is a great product, easy to use and does everything I want and then some.

Just got my Roland FC-300 http://www.thomann.de/de/roland_fc300.htm
today (like new for 180€. Yay). Also works nicely with the AR and OT. New for 450 it’s not debatable but it’s like a tank so it’s ok to get a used one.
