MIDI conflicting with internal sequencer (bad idea?)

I recently stumbled on an interesting trick while compiling a live (if that will ever be a thing again) set. I have a sequence programmed into a MnM track, and then started feeding it the exact same sequence but an octave higher via midi from the OT. The results are interesting: adding some pitch randomness where it is much needed, and I’m tempted to leave as is. However, my setup is midi heavy as it is, and I’m wondering if maybe this could do some damage to the MnM (or at the very least fuck up the kit or snapshot settings). Any thoughts?

Sending note messages will do no harm.

I suspected as much, but I do get a little anxious (more for software glitches than hardware damage) when punishing machines like the audio-sadist I am.

I’ll dig out C6 and run a full backup for peace of mind
