Ola Octatrack gurus…one week old OT user here, my first Electron, decided to jump into the deep end first box-wise; thanks everyone for the suggestions; and as intense as the OT learning curve is (and was told) this thing is incredible…no regrets.

Now for my initial noob Q’s: I’ve setup a MIDI arpeggio on a track using a Thru Machine and running it out to a synth via MIDI and back into an input (B) which is working great, however…

Q1) I select trig 1 and push play and it kicks off, selecting more trigs across the scale resets the start point as expected…all cool. If I remove the additionally added trigs they stop firing, however if I remove the initial trig (#1) the arp still plays without any trigs selected (?). Of course muting the track silences it, but just wondering if this is normal or if I missed a setting somewhere, i.e., can I get it to only fire where I have a trig turned on and if no trigs are selected it’s completely muted by default?

Q2) Effects. No issues using effects for internal samples, however having some difficulty getting effects to fire for this Thru track (e.g., simple delay). I’ve consulted the manual and tried to figure it out but am missing something somewhere. Any tips?

Thru tracks have to be trigged.

The arpeggio will play for as long as the note length on the playback page allows.

Thanks…went back in and noticed my note length was set set to INF which explains the endless arps without any trigs selected.
